Ancient Nomos Art is a museum of galleries exhibiting ancient coins and ancient mint maps. The coin gallery displays the diverse art and history of hand-crafted ancient Greek, Roman, Byzantine, Persian and Medieval coinage. The ancient mints mapping gallery features Greek, Roman, Byzantine, Asia Minor and Medieval mint city regions and territories. Visitor's are welcome to explore, study and enjoy Ancient Nomos Art.

‘Art in the Round’: New Approaches to Ancient Coin Iconography
November 15, 2012 - November 16, 2012
This ancient coin symposia is scheduled to discuss new interpretative methodologies and research agendas for use in understanding the meanings and functions of Græco‐Roman coinage, linking the study of the images on classical coins in concert with texts, archæological evidence, and the material context of their bearers to the messages conveyed, nature of ancient visual culture and the societies creating the images.
