Ancient Nomos Art is a museum of galleries exhibiting ancient coins and ancient mint maps. The coin gallery displays the diverse art and history of hand-crafted ancient Greek, Roman, Byzantine, Persian and Medieval coinage. The ancient mints mapping gallery features Greek, Roman, Byzantine, Asia Minor and Medieval mint city regions and territories. Visitor's are welcome to explore, study and enjoy Ancient Nomos Art.

MFA Ancient Coin Lecture
October 4, 2012 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
A special lecture “Ancient Coins: A 21st Century Interpretation” by the Museum of Fine Arts Boston shall be held at the Sharf Visitor’s Center on October 4, 2012, beginning at 1:00 pm. Join Phoebe Segal, the Mary Bryce Comstock Assistant Curator of Greek and Roman Art collection and view the ancient coinage treasures displayed in the new, state-of-the-art Michael C. Ruettger’s Gallery, the first ancient coin gallery of its kind in a major United States art museum.
