Obverse: Helmeted, diademed and cuirassed three-quarter facing bust of Marcian, head turned slightly right.
Reverse: Winged Victory stands facing with head turned left, holding a long jeweled cross in her right hand.

LEGEND
Obv: D N MARCIANVS P F AVG Helmeted, diademed and cuirassed three-quarter facing bust of Emperor Marcian, head turned slightly to the right. Marcian holds a spear in his right hand and shield with galloping horse emblem over his left shoulder. Rev: VICTORIA AVGGG, followed by Γ (gamma) officinal number. CONOB below exergual line. Winged Victory stands facing with head turned left, holding long jeweled cross in her right hand; star in field to the right.
